Dear Parents,
We hope all our students had a relaxing time off. We have lots of fun activities planned to help your child meet their educational goals.
Our theme for the rest of October will center around pumpkins and Halloween activities. On Friday, October 31st the children may come to school with their Halloween costumes on. (If your child is dressed in their costume, please go "light" on any make-up and remember they must be comfortable because they will be wearing the costume all day, even at recess.) The children will be making "Ghost" cookies so no special party items will be needed. However, if you want to make up small candy or party bags for class members, your child can hand them out at school. The children will be taking these bags home and will not eat the candy at school. (Some of our children have very adverse reactions to a lot of sugar, so we want each parent to be in charge of how much candy is given out at one time.) We will be planning special activities for our children on Halloween, however we will not take part in the school wide costume parade because we have found it to be too fast paced and overwhelming for our young children.
If you have an old white bed sheet that you could donate to the classroom, we could use it to play a guessing ghost game. We would need it as soon as possible if you have one.
On Wednesday, November 26th, both classes will have their annual Thanksgiving family feast. We welcome all our parents to join us, so please dress your child with older clothing.
Have a great week and please don't hesitate to call if
you have any questions and.... we almost forgot, we will soon be in need
of more apple juice donations. Thank You!
