The Standards Based Curriculum/Instruction Department provides support to schools and school districts. Our essential function is to support our districts in building the knowledge base foundation and academic expertise for all educators to ensure that each and every student achieves proficient or above proficient in the California State Standards.

Our focus is in the areas of:

  • K-12 Curriculum (English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies)
  • Professional development for teachers, support staff, and administrators
  • Educational technology services to support classroom curriculum
  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Smaller Learning Communities (Secondary School Reform)
  • Professional Learning Communities
  • SB 472 – English Language Learners, Mathematics, and Language Arts
