County Board Of Education Boundary Meeting On June 15

SAN BERNARDINO - The San Bernardino County Committee on School District Organization will hold the second of four public meetings on June 15 to review the boundaries of the five trustee areas of the County Board of Education.

The meeting will be held at 6:45 p.m. on June 15 in the Board Room at the Roy C Hill Education Center, which is located at 601 N. E St. in San Bernardino. The committee will also meet at the same time and place on July 20 and Aug. 17.

Every 10 years following the U.S. Census, the county committee reviews, and if necessary, redraws the boundaries for the five trustee areas of the County Board to ensure that each area has approximately the same number of residents. Plus, the new boundaries have to comply with the Voting Rights Act, as well as other criteria.
