Child-Care Providers Receive Awards From KidsNCare

SAN BERNARDINO - KidsNCare handed out "Top Provider" awards to Elizabeth Smith of Rosie's Preschool in Rialto and Sylvia Barraza of Barraza Family Child Care in Bloomington, as part of its Provider Appreciation Day event on May 6.

The third annual banquet honored top child-care providers from San Bernardino County at KidsNCare's awards program held at the Hilton Hotel in San Bernardino.

Other award recipients included family child-care providers Rosa Fuentes of San Bernardino and Annette Romero of Phelan. In addition, Miriam Moran of the San Bernardino Parenting Center and Linda Meza of Just for Toddlers in Hesperia received honors.

They were among nearly 60 providers who were nominated and acknowledged at the ceremony. The providers were nominated for awards by parents and community members.

KidsNCare of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools offers resources for parents, child-care providers, and the community on behalf of children. Programs include childcare Resource & Referral, the Centralized Eligibility List, subsidized childcare and a Child Care Food Program.
