Media Briefing For State Of Education Address On Feb. 9

SAN BERNARDINO - Media covering San Bernardino County are invited to attend a briefing on Feb. 9 from 9-10:30 a.m. with County Superintendent Gary Thomas prior to his inaugural State of Education Address.

The briefing will take place in Conference Room B at the Roy C Hill Education Center, 601 N. E St.

Thomas will highlight accomplishments of county schools and districts; update the state budget situation; discuss reductions in countywide dropout rates; and talk about closing the access and achievement gaps, as well as answer questions from the media.

The State of Education address will take place on Feb. 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts in San Bernardino, 562 W. Fourth St.
