7th Annual Union Apprenticeship, Training Forum Registration Open

SAN BERNARDINO - Students can discover about opportunities to earn money while they are still learning at the seventh annual Union Apprenticeship and Training Forum on March 5 at the National Orange Show.

The free event, which is open to students, parents, staff and the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Damus Room at the National Orange Show, which is located at 689 S. E St. in San Bernardino. Participants should enter the event at Gate 7 on Arrowhead Avenue.

Some of the trades that will be participating in the event are the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, electricians, operating engineers, plumbers, pipe-fitters, surveyors and roofers. Students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on demonstrations, and apprenticeship coordinators will relate their trades to real world applications. County Superintendent Gary Thomas will welcome students to the event.
