Two County Teachers Earn National Board Certification

SAN BERNARDINO - Two teachers from San Bernardino County earned their National Board Certification, according to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

The county teachers who received their National Board Certification were among 342 from California who achieved the standard for 2010. San Bernardino now has 136 teachers who have become National Board Certified, and the state has 4,913, the fifth-highest total nationally. The County Board of Education plans to recognize the National Board Certified teachers at a future meeting.

The following are this year's National Board Certified Teachers by their district and area of certification:

Kerri Long-Campbell, Fontana Unified, generalist/early childhood;

Tonya Scott, Ontario-Montclair, generalist/early childhood.
