County School Districts Taking Part In Great ShakeOut On Oct. 21

SAN BERNARDINO - All 33 school districts in San Bernardino County have signed up to participate in the Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill on Oct. 21.

"There is no greater priority than the safety of our students, so I am proud that all of the school districts are participating in this important exercise," County Superintendent Gary Thomas said.

At 10:21 a.m. on Oct. 21, students will drop, cover and hold on in a drill to simulate a major earthquake along the southern end of the San Andreas Fault. San Bernardino County is home to close to 420,000 students in grades from kindergarten to 12 at more than 530 school sites.
