County Foster Youth Summit Set For May 9

SAN BERNARDINO - The third annual San Bernardino County Foster Youth Summit will be held at California State University, San Bernardino, from noon to 7:30 p.m. on May 9.

The free event is for foster youth, kinship youth or concerned adults, but they must register for the event by May 4. The summit will be held at the Santos Manuel Student Union at Cal State.

The event will provide workshops, presentations and career opportunities information for county foster and kinship youth aged 14 to 21.

Free transportation to the event also is available.

The event is sponsored by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools' Foster Youth Services; County Children and Family Services; County Probabation; County Behavioral Health; Cal State's Institute for Child Development and Family Relations; Children's Network; Children's Fund; Transition Age Youth; Street Style Positive; and California Youth Connection.
