Family Involvement Support Meeting on April 22

SAN BERNARDINO – The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office is offering the next in a series of meetings in networking and supporting family involvement on April 22 at the Desert Mountain Educational Service Center in Apple Valley.

The topic of the meeting is “Creating a learning environment for our children’s life-long learning.” The guest speaker at the event will be Christine Duchene, who is a youth development adviser. The meeting will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the education service center, located at 17800 Highway 18 in Apple Valley.

The meeting is open to parents and anyone working with families, such as teachers and community liaisons. The meetings focus on areas of parent involvement, such as volunteering in the classroom and supporting student learning at home.
