Reception On Nov. 3 Honors Retiring County Board Members

SAN BERNARDINO - Longtime San Bernardino County Board of Education members Tom Rabone and Al Waner will be honored with a reception following their last board meeting on Nov. 3.

The reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office at 601 N. E St. in San Bernardino.

The event is open to the public.

Rabone, who represents Trustee Area C, has served on the County Board since 1991. He also served on the Fontana Unified School Board for eight years prior to being elected to the County Board.

Waner, who represents Trustee Area E, has served on the County Board since 2001. He was elected to serve as the president of the County Board for this year.

New County Board members for Trustee Area C and Trustee Area E will be elected Nov. 4 and will be sworn in and begin serving on the board beginning in December.
