Family Reading Rally on May 7

SAN BERNARDINO – Families are invited to attend a free Family Reading Rally on May 7 at Arroyo Valley High School.

The rally will focus on vital skills of reading with families, schools and communities. Storytellers, poets, musicians and authors will present interactive sessions involving reading, drama and the arts.

The event is for parents, grandparents and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the rally is targeted for children aged 4-12.

Registration for the rally begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event starting at 9 a.m. Arroyo Valley High School is located at 1881 W. Baseline in San Bernardino.

The event is sponsored by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, Arroyo Valley High School, California Reading Association Councils Areas 11 and 14, The Press Enterprise and California Technology Assistance Project.
