Redlands East Valley Wins Mock Trials Championship

RANCHO CUCAMONGA -- Redlands East Valley (REV) High School defeated rival Redlands High to claim the 23rd annual San Bernardino County Mock Trials competition on Dec. 11 at the Foothill Law and Justice Center. It was REV's second championship in the event. It defeated Redlands for the 2000-01 title. Redlands East Valley will represent the county at the state finals on March 18-20 in Riverside. Twenty-nine high schools competed in this year's competition, and it was the third time in the past five years Redlands and Redlands East Valley have met for the championship. Redlands, which has competed in nine consecutive Mock Trials finals, is tied with Apple Valley for the most championships with seven titles. The Mock Trials event is co-sponsored by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office.
