CABE Para-Educator/Parent Conference Set for May 11

SAN BERNARDINO -- The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) will hold a para-educator/parent conference for San Bernardino and Riverside counties on May 11 at the Riverside Convention Center. This conference is co-sponsored by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) and the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE).

The conference will feature workshops, a keynote speaker, regional parent and para-educator of the year awards, as well as a continental breakfast and lunch.  Workshop sessions will cover themes such as literacy development, parent leadership and education, technology integration, content area support, No Child Left Behind federal legislation, specific staff development for para-educators, working with students of diverse language and cultural backgrounds.

Registration prior to April 21 is $105. After April 21, registration is $115.

The Convention Center is located at 3443 Orange St. in Riverside.

CABE is a statewide non-profit organization that promotes quality bilingual education programs for English Language Learners. Members include teachers, administrators, parents, instructional assistants, community members and organizations.
