300 High School Students to Attend Career Information Day

REDLANDS ñ Three hundred seniors representing five school districts will take part in the sixth annual Career Information Day on March 11 at the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program (CRY-ROP) site.

About 35 participating employers in 10 different occupational fields will be available to the students from Colton, Rialto, Rim of the World, Redlands and Yucaipa-Calimesa school districts. The event will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CRY-ROP, which is located at 1214 Indiana Court in Redlands.

The range of occupations represented at the Career Information Day vary from business to industrial to media/entertainment to retail. Among some of the represented employers are HomeTown Buffet, Mattel, Orco Construction Supply, PK Design Graphics, Redlands Community Hospital and Southern California Edison.

In addition, WalMart will make a presentation to the students, and representatives from Crafton Hills, Riverside Community and San Bernardino Valley colleges also will be available.

The participating seniors were selected from those involved in their career education classes at their high schools.

The event is sponsored by the East Valley SELPA Transition Partnership Project and the California Department of Rehabilitation in collaboration with Workability I.
