Regional High School Educators Of Year Finalists To Be Honored

SAN BERNARDINO - The California League of High Schools will honor its Region 10 educators of the year finalists at a banquet on Jan. 23 at the San Bernardino Hilton.

The 13 finalists represent high school teachers from San Bernardino and Riverside counties. This year's finalists are:

• Shannen Avila, Victor Valley High School, Victor Valley Union High School District;
• Susan Brown, Hemet High School, Hemet Unified School District;
• John Corona, King High School, Riverside Unified School District;
• Donald Davis, Canyon Springs High School, Moreno Valley Unified School District;
• Brian Engstrom, Don Lugo High School, Chino Valley Unified School District;
• Sagrario Faison, University Prep, Victor Valley Union High School District;
• Flora Fitzhugh, Milor High School, Rialto Unified School District;
• Kit Flores, Ruben Ayala High School, Chino Valley Unified School District;
• Shannon Kane, Valley View High School, Moreno Valley Unified School District;
• Cameron Lymon, Elsinore High School, Lake Elsinore Unified School District;
• Demetrious Sinor, Desert Springs High School, Palm Springs Unified School District;
• Thomas Stokes, Moreno Valley High School, Moreno Valley Unified School District;
• Socorro Vazquez-Alvarado, Chino Hills High School, Chino Valley Unified School District.

Among the 10 finalists, a Region 10 educator of the year will be announced at the awards ceremony, which begins at 5 p.m. The Hilton is located at 285 E. Hospitality Lane.
