Writing Expert to Deliver Seminar March 7-8

SAN BERNARDINO ñ John Antonetti will deliver the second of his two-day seminars on ìWriting as a High Yield Strategyî on March 7-8 at the National Orange Show.

The seminars, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, attract teachers and administrators who want to improve writing in the classrooms and sites. The seminars will be held in the Valencia Room at the National Orange Show.

Antonetti is following up on his two-day seminar in February, also at the National Orange Show. He is the former director of curriculum from the Sheridan School District in Arkansas. He now serves as a senior consultant for Learning 24/7 and the National School Conference Institute, delivering keynote presentations across the county.

The writing strategies seminars will focus on selecting high-yield thought processes; brevity with elaboration; direct and indirect modeling; student inspections for quality; supporting reason; and development of lessons and mini-lessons.
