Internal Business Services

Internal Business Services functions as the business office for the County Superintendent of Schools. Areas of responsibility include all business functions involving this organization, providing payroll, accounts payable, accounting, accounts receivable and fiscal management reporting functions for over 300 programs within the county office.

The department also is responsible for developing and managing the budgets for all funds of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office. The budgeted expenditures are developed using input from budget managers for each program and grant, while revenues are projected based on the Governor's proposed state budget and information from the federal government on federal grant programs. Managing the budget includes analysis of the expenditures and revenues of each program and grant. Budget status reports are presented to the County Board of Education on a monthly basis beginning with the November Board meeting.
