Facilities Planning and Construction

The Facilities Planning and Construction Department is responsible for the construction of County classrooms that serve Special Education and Alternative Education students county-wide.

The department provides information and advocacy to school districts in the county through a monthly facilities planners meeting where there are presentations from State agencies, consultants and other facilities planners. (eg. Office of Public School Construction (OPSC), Department of State Architect (DSA), and California Department of Education (CDE). The Department also assists school districts in the areas of state school funding, local funding, state agencies, legislative advocacy, construction, and other pertinent facilities issues.
