Child Care Adult Food Program

KidsNCare is an umbrella sponsor for the Child Care Adult Food Program (CCAFP) for family child care providers in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The CCAFP is a federal program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the State Department of Education. The primary objectives of the Child Care Food Program is to help provide good, nutritious meals to children twelve years of age and younger, who are in licensed family child care homes; to help children develop good eating habits that will last throughout their lives; and to train child care providers in good nutrition practices.

Licensed providers may be reimbursed for serving, up to three meals a day to each child. Meals served must meet the USDA guidelines and other requirements. Providers will attend a minimum of one nutrition workshop annually.
