The HIV/STD Project Center provides Positive Prevention HIV/AIDS and Positive Prevention PLUS Sexual Health Education curriculum trainings to teachers from school districts throughout San Bernardino County, in compliance with the California Comprehensive Sexual Health Education Act (Education Codes 51930-51939). The Project Center also coordinates a cadre of HIV/TPP trainers statewide who implement Positive Prevention trainings in school districts and county offices of education throughout California. Regional Safe Schools/Violence Prevention Training and Bullying Prevention Training

SBCSS receives an annual training grant to provide training and technical assistance to schools in the Riverside, Inyo-Mono, and San Bernardino (RIMS) regions. The training helps participants to complete/update their mandated safe school and emergency response plans (California Education Code, Sections 32280 – 32289). In addition, the trainings increase awareness of current issues related to school safety and provide implementation strategies that will positively impact school climate--promoting increased attendance, improved academic achievement with increased family and community involvement.
